5 Day Firewood Haul at My Cabin in the Woods
In this video, I share footage from the 5 days it took me to completely fill the new woodshed at my off grid cabin. After completing the construction of my woodshed, it was time to fill it! Using alder, cedar, douglas fir and more, I hand split and stacked it all to supply myself with about 5 cords for this coming winter.

How noble to see how younger guys help on what people need, God gave us naturally these things but we prefer big cities and wars. Rat traps, burning cars spending hours of our life in traffic instead of slow living and joy of a close friend. Who needs rockets and satellites?

Everything looks great but 2 things one that is a gas waterheater down at the bottom of the water heater is a bunch of holes that is where fresh air comes into the water heater. You can put it in an enclosed box but you need to run a 4-in PVC pipe from the top to the bottom so you can receive fresh air at all times otherwise you will kill your flame. Sec the fresh air intake for your enclosed box is too close to the exhaust, potentially in summertime. The exhaust can go back into the fresh air intake causing carbon monoxide in your box. These are the only potential issues that I consume besides all that great video bro

Please add a bitcoin miner to the water wheel and utilize the waste heat elsewhere while collecting real money every day. S9 miners can be had for about 50usd, require about 1000watts and will mine about 25 cents worth of btc per day while creating usable heat.

recently discovered your channel. you are living proof of "if you have the will you find a way". one of the comments you made was to "get to work". i do not see this as work, sure you are busy and clearly love what you do so therefore it is not work in my opinion. i am also in the northwest but on the canadian side and everytime i take on a project at our off grid property i can not wait to get back to it. i am dang near 70 yrs old and granted not as tuff in actual physical output these days but i still hold a lot of worth in ideas and great intentions. i also love seeing Al, he is a one in a million and gives me hope.

How much is your time worth? Calculate the hours you spent x your labor rate…thats the actual cost. If you value your time at $0, then it cost you $550….i argue that my time is priceless, but i would use my salary rate of $150/hr, if you spent 40 hours, (i think you spent over that, but thats a nice easy number) thats $6000, plus $550…your at $6600 I could buy a 14x30 pre built for $11k, insulate it, run electric to it, etc…has more practcality. Im not trying to dump on you, because the structure you built is awesome. Im just trying to get you to think about things in a different way, that i wish someone would have told me when i was younger. Everything has an opportunity cost…you building that yourself traded your time for a wood shed…as you get older, or if you ever have children, opportunity cost becomes more valuable…time becomes your most precious commodity and you need to make difficult decisions between spending time or spending cash… Awesome building, love your channel.

Wish i had a neighbor al….ive got 40 acres and all my neighbors ask is if they can hunt and fish…never if they can help…ive helped them so much, running my heavy equipment…cut trees down formthem, large trees, that required me to rig them, climb, top… Ive about had enough…i dont want to be that middle age asshole…but…its frustrating being around people who just take take take…
